Welcome to the Hube, Styria

Hube refers to an agricultural estate that could be cultivated with a plough and fed a family, albeit in the simplest of ways. Our Hube, situated on a hill in the Raab Valley/Styria, consists of a 45,000 square metre property with mixed forest, a small stream, chokeberry (organic), fruit and flower meadow, a historic entrance building and outbuildings. The Hube itself, a quiet and clearly designed holiday home, is surrounded by its own greenery. The newly built house establishes a connection to the historical model not only through its name, but also through the building's cubature, location and orientation on the property.

The central room inside the cottage is a spacious and light-flooded living room with an open fireplace that extends up to the roof ridge. The high-quality, well-equipped kitchen, the dining table that seats up to eight people and the carefully designed seating area are carefully harmonised in terms of design. The patio doors in each room open outwards, with fixed glazing to the side, creating a seamless transition between inside and outside. The view opens out over the gently sloping plot to the south and the open landscape. In addition to the living area, the building comprises two bedrooms, a reading room (which can also be used as a bedroom), a bathroom and a small utility room.

Depending on the season, the many fruit trees not only offer the opportunity to pick cherries, plums or apples, but are also ideal for climbing. Until the new construction, the buildings were connected to the farm's own well. Even now, the pump well with spring water can still be used.

Activities and Culture

Extensive hikes in the vineyards and orchards in the surrounding area, visits to thermal baths, castles and palaces, culinary delights in the fertile region of the Styrian volcano country, excursions to wine taverns and oil mills, the Gleisdorf weekly market with its organic and regional produce are just some of the many possibilities on offer in the surrounding area. Excursions to the gorges and mountains of Styria, such as the Raab or Bärenschützklamm gorges, the Kulm or Hoher Zetz, are extremely exciting. Last but not least, the provincial capital of Graz offers a wide range of cultural and gastronomic attractions. Outstanding museums such as the Kunsthaus Graz, the Landeszeughaus or the Frida and Fred children's museum are unrivalled. The opera and theatre, as well as the extensive cabaret scene, are known far beyond the borders of the province for their high standards.

Parking

The property offers plenty of space for parking. The open part of the barn can also be used for car parking.

We look forward to your visit!
